As of 2017, Rodney Davis was a member of the House of Representatives for Illinois. Several political statements he's made:

• Repeal the Affordable Care Act - U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) today spoke on the House floor about repealing and replacing Obamacare during consideration of S. Con. Res. 3, the budgetary vehicle that allows Congress to move forward with repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The resolution passed the Senate last night and is expected to pass the House later today.
  • In his monthly email he stated I want to make sure we repeal and replace in a thoughtful way that does not pull the rug out from under millions of people like Obamacare did. This seems to be referencing that several insurance plans were deemed invalid by the ACA, but does not mean that people were not able to get insurance - honest comes into question here
  • Going back to 2014, he questioned the CDC's ability to deal with Ebola, his site listed that he was directing hospitals. Its pretty obvious that doctors are perfectly able to deal with disease, and the fact that this "epidemic" was quickly dropped after the November election makes it clear what the intentions were
  • On a town-hall call on 2017-Mar-27, he pointed to Democrats as the cause of the AHCA bill failure, however they are far out-numbered
